2 Summonses Issued in Trash Dumping Incident

Madison man allegedly threw his trash into CVS dumpster; Police say it's an "ongoing problem."

said they issued two summonses to Sean D. Geier, 45, of Madison for allegedly dumping household trash into the CVS dumpster.

Patrolman Andrew Chase investigated a dumping complaint at the on Main Street on Sunday, March 25, police said.

The manager of CVS pointed out residential garbage that was just discarded into the CVS dumpster, "which is an ongoing problem," according to a police statement.

Items in the bags indicated the trash came from a residence in Madison, police said.

Chase responded to the residence and spoke to Geier, who admitted dumping the trash, according to police.

Chase also discovered that Geier was warned about dumping his household trash into the CVS dumpster on Dec. 14, 2011 by Patrolman Brian Colatrella, police said.

Chase issued Geier two summonses charging him with theft of services and illegal dumping, according to police.

He was released pending further court action, police said.
