Where Can Parents Find Fun Local Activities For Kids?

Things to do when the summer seems hot and long.

The thermometer reads 90 something and you want a break from the pool. Catching up on some sounds good but you need to get the kids out of the house. Whether you want to get out for the day or just for an hour, our area has lots of fun options for families indoors and out.

Looking for a creative activity? Stop by the BeadBugz studio at DoodleBugz in Madison to do a beading project. Need a Harry Potter fix? Relax and cool off while seeing Deathly Hallows Part 2 or The Smurfs at Clearview's Madison Cinema

The Great Swamp offers a variety of activities that kids enjoy if you are eager to be outdoors. A serene walk or bike ride (with or without training wheels) can be found at Loantaka Brook Reservation. You can even head out to Jockey Hollow for a hike and some history.
