What Do You Remember About MTV?

The television station once dedicated solely to rock music turns 30 Monday.

As MTV celebrates turns 30 on Monday, Chatham Patch wants to know what you think of how the station has evolved in its 30 years.

When MTV launched in 1981, it played only music videos. Soon, though, original programming like "Beavis and Butthead" and "The Real World" dominated the station, and in 1996, on the station's 15th anniversary, its sister station launched as MTV2 to carry on the tradition of commercial-free music videos.

Chatham Patch readers, you tell us: What do you think of MTV? What was your favorite music video? What do you remember about MTV, then and now?
