Resident: Nonnenmacher 'Does Not Stop'

Township mom got to know committee candidate while on Southern Boulevard's PTO.

To the editor:

I am writing this letter to ask the voters to elect Laura Ali Nonnemacher to the Chatham Township Committee in the upcoming Republican primary election.

I have had the opportunity to work with Laura on the Parent Teacher Organization (SBS PTO) where she served as President in 2010. Based on my experience with Laura, I am confident she would add tremendous value to the Chatham Township government. She is a results oriented leader, whose straight-forward, no-nonsense approach is desperately needed in today's political climate.

During our tenure together on the PTO, Laura proved to me that she was able to deal with hundreds (literally) of people at a time and accomplish greatness with very few resources. And yes, this was all done on a daily basis! I was then, and am still now very impressed with Laura!

In addition to her leadership at the Chatham schools, Laura continues to be a tireless community leader. Over the past several years she has spearheaded fundraising initiatives for various neighborhood causes. Based on my interactions with Laura, I believe she has her finger on the pulse of what is important to a majority of Chatham families.

Laura does not stop!  She does not just show up for monthly meetings and make a few comments or review a few documents. Instead, she is a 'day in and day out' person who puts 100 percent of herself into everything she does. Laura's hard work and dedication to Chatham Township has secured my vote on June 5 for township committee.

Sincere Regards,
