Stephen Marano, Lifelong Madison Resident, Green Village Firefighter, Dies at 24

Visitation, funeral scheduled.

Obituary for Stephen Marano from Madison Memorial Home

Stephen Marano, of Madison, died on Monday, November 11, 2013 in Chatham Township, N.J., he was 24 years old. Mr. Marano was born in Morristown and lived all of his life in Madison. He worked in the food service industry as a bartender and waiter for the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park for the last 2 years. Mr. Marano was a graduate of Madison High School and was a volunteer fireman with the Green Village Fire Dept.

He is survived by his mother, Mary (nee Zara) Marano, his brothers, Anthony, Michael and Matthew, his maternal grandmother, Amelia Zara, an uncle and aunt, Frank Zara and his wife Marilyn, his cousins, Elizabeth and Nicole Zara.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, Friday, November 15, 9am from the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison with a funeral mass at 10am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison. Cremation will be private. Visitation Thursday 5-8pm. Please omit flowers. Donations to the Green Village Fire Dept. in his memory would be appreciated.
