Chatham Youth Wrestlers Beat Berkeley Heights 68-31

Chatham Wrestlers Beat Berkeley Heights.

On Saturday January 5, 2013 the Chatham Youth Wrestlers took on Berkeley Heights at home.

The Cougars were down early 7-0 with defeats at the 50 and 55 pound weight classes. That didn't last long. Owen McClintock (60) earned the team 6 points with a forfeit at 60 pounds, John Rohe (65) pinned his opponent in the first period, Connor Cortese (70) beat his opponent 10-1 and Aedan Joel (75) pinned his opponent in the first period giving Chatham a 22-7 lead. Following a loss at 80, PJ Joel (85) won by forfeit, Jack Kimber (90) pinned his opponent in the second period, Drew Mitzack (96) beat his opponent 15-4 and Logan Robson earned the team another 6 points at 102 with a forfeit to give Chatham a 44-13 lead. After a loss at 109, the Cougars went on a roll. Luke Ciccarelli (116) pinned his opponent in the first period, Matthew Tether (123) pinned his opponent in the first period, Niccolo Colucci (130) won by forfeit and Tim Rohe(137) pinned his opponent in the first period to give Chatham a  68- 19  lead. After giving up 12 points in forfeits at 147 and heavyweight, Chatham won the match 68-31. Chatham also had a strong showing during exhibition matches with pins from Dean Ciccarelli (85), Michael Rohe (70, Tim Rohe (137) and Jack Chambers at super heavyweight.
