Santa Comes to Green Village Sunday

He'll light tree on the Green, then meet children in firehouse.

Santa is scheduled to make his annual visit the Green Village firehouse in Chatham Township Sunday evening.

Before his visit, there will be a free hot dog supper and Christmas carols starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Green Village United Methodist Church, 500 Spring Valley Road, Green Village. Hot dogs, chips and hot chocolate will be served. The Chatham Brass Quintet will perform, followed by the singing of carols. Attendees  then take a short walk down the luminary-lit road to the Green Village Fire House to await Santa's arrival.

At 6 p.m., Santa is due to arrive to light the Christmas tree on the Green at the Green Village Fire Department. Families can come and watch as Santa arrives by fire truck to light up the tree. Santa then will hear children’s wishes in the firehouse.

Complementary refreshments and cookies will be provided by the Auxiliary of the Green Village Fire Department. The Auxiliary will be collecting monetary contributions towards holiday purchases of food gift certificates and/or phone cards for the Jersey Battered Woman’s Shelter’s clients and children.
