Elementary School's Holiday Giving Fair Raises $4,500 for Nonprofits

Southern Boulevard School event benefited ECLC of NJ, The Great Swamp, Interfaith Food Pantry, Dover branch of Toys for Tots.

Students at Southern Boulevard School in Chatham and their families donated more than $4,500 to local nonprofits at the school's first Holiday Giving Fair.

Students learned about philanthropy in class and then had the opportunity to make monetary donations to a group of local nonprofit agencies.

The event benefited ECLC of NJ, The Great Swamp, Interfaith Food Pantry, and the Dover branch of Toys for Tots.

“This holiday season our kids have learned the power of giving and helping out others,” Principal Ralph Pesapane said.
