Diabetes Dad Praises 'Incredible' Chatham Turkey Trot

Fifth annual event benefited Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.

Tom Karlya, the vice president of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation who runs the blog Diabetes Dad, wrote a blog post thanking Chatham residents for organizing and participating in the Chatham Turkey Trot.

Karlya addressed the hundreds of runners who took part in the fifth annual Thanksgiving morning event, which raises money for the foundation.

He said Chatham is "like a neighborhood out of Norman Rockwell."

"Nice job Curt (Ritter) and to you and all those in the beautiful town of Chatham, we say thank you for caring," he wrote.
