Church's Pumpkin Patch Raises Nearly $23K

Proceeds support hunger outreach efforts.

Pumpkin sales were brisk last month at the 7th Annual Pumpkin Patch on the front lawn of the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township.

"Thanks to the support of the local community, pumpkin sales at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township during the month of October reached close to $23,000," according to an announcement. "Proceeds were shared with our grower, a Navajo tribe in Farmington, New Mexico, the Community Soup Kitchen in Morristown and the Community Food Bank in Hillside."

Chatham High School football players and cheerleaders and local Boy Scouts were among the volunteers on hand to unload thousands of pumpkins this week for the 7th Annual Pumpkin Patch on the front lawn of the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township.
