TCF Worldwide Candle lighting ceremony in Chatham

This Sunday, December 11th, the Chatham branch of the Morris County area chapter of The Compassionate Friends will be participating in the worldwide candle lighting ceremonies that will be taking place throughout the world.

For those of you who have never participated before, it is a moving and healing experience which bonds bereaved parents in a ceremony which is repeated at the exact same time in every time zone on the planet.    Literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of people will join together to celebrate the lives of loved ones and to remember their loss and untimely departure.

More information about this worldwide event, including information about the on-line remembrance book where a message of tribute can be posted, is available on the national TCF website (www.TheCompassionateFriends.org

In Chatham, the candle lighting ceremony will be led by Cindy Cutcliff, our chapter leader.
It will be held at our usual location at the Chatham Township Presbyterian Church, located at 240 Southern Blvd in Chatham.   However we will be in Hallderson Hall rather than in the parlor of the church.
Candles will be provided.

Our event will feature the following:

--  There will be a memory table where you can place photos, candles, and mementos of your children;

--  There will be an opportunity to read poems, writings, and memorials for your children;

--   There will be a sharing session after the candle lighting ceremony;

--  There will be refreshments, and all are invited to bring light finger food and/or beverages.

The program will begin at 6:30 p.m.    It is requested that you arrive between 6:00 and 6:30.
This will give you an opportunity to set up your photos and mementos on the memory table before the program begins.

You are welcome to bring family and friends.

If you have any questions, or wish to RSVP (not required but helpful), please contact Cindy Cutcliff at 908-872-7293 or at   ccutcliff@optonline.net.

May the memory of our children burn brightly in our hearts and minds on this Sunday, and forever.
