Scout Scholar Athete Award Nominations Due

   Patriots' Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America is looking for young men and women who work to achieve academic success while practicing healthy living ro be physically strong in their daily lives. These scouts may be eligible for the Scout Scholar Athlete Award. Scouts can be nomintated by teachers, coaches, scoutmasters, or fellow scouts. Interested scouts must be in 10th-12th grade or college freshman and have an average GPA of 3.0 thoughout their high school career. Applications are due October 4, 2013. Scouts that receive the award will be recognized at the 3rd Annual Scout Scholar Athlete Award Breakfast on Sunday, December 8th, 2013. About the event:

   This is the third year that the Patriots' Path Council is recognizing scouts for their achievements in academics and athletics. Last year 62 scouts were honored at the Scout Scholar Athlete Award Breakfast. This year the event will be taking place at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, New Jersey on Sunday, December 8th.
