Good Friday Worship Service

On Good Friday we turn to Jesus Christ and the cross.  We have much to discover.  We pray to be called more
deeply into the mystery of God and of life.  We ask God to open our eyes, our hearts and
our minds.

We hold a tenebrae service (from the Latin for “shadows” or “darkness”) where we read Scripture and extinguish candles as we meditate on the crucifixion of Jesus.

All are welcome.  Join us and bring a friend.  We are a friendly, caring Christian community.  The members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church come together to Worship as a
family from many faith traditions.  Our families live in the Chathams
and Madison and many other surrounding towns.  Lutherans are a diverse
group of people, convinced that the Holy Spirit is leading us toward
unity in the household of God.
