The Chatham Highlands Turkey Trot

The Chatham Turkey Trot, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, organizes and hosts the annual Chatham Highlands Turkey Trot, which consists of a 1 Mile Family Fun Run and 5K Race. Runners race through the scenic Highlands section of Chatham Township, NJ on Thanksgiving Day.


The Chatham Highlands Turkey Trot takes place in the scenic Highlands section of Chatham Township, NJ.


The race begins at the corner of Seminole Way and Van Houton Avenue.

  • Pre-race warm-ups/  Registration: 8:00 AM

  • 1 Mile Family Fun Run: 8:30 AM

  • Program/5K Race: 9:00 AM


Since 2009, The Chatham Turkey Trot has raised more than $10,000 for Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Diabetes Research Institute due to the support of Chatham residents and its local businesses.
