Community Corner

Miss Representation

This event is a free showing of the Sundance Award Winning documentary, Miss Representation.  Learn about how media affects girls self image and what we, as parents, can do about it.

We wanted to give you a 'peek' into the planned panel discussion post the movie.

Lisa Lattarulo (Student Assistance coordinator) will share observations from the school counseling office's perspective regarding the messages in the movie
Bill Kennard (Madison-based family therapist and individual counseling for teens, children and adults) will offer comments on 'messages that parents give their children'
Nancy Kislin (Chatham-based family therapist and individual counseling for teens, children and adults) will share remarks on the role of and depth of anxiety felt by our children (which feed into issues of self-esteem)
Adam Price (Chatham-based family therapist and individual counseling for teens, children and adults) will speak on dynamics related to Adolescent Boys.

We encourage all - parents, fathers, mothers, brothers, care-givers, high school students - from Chatham and ALL local communities to attend.
