Friends of the Library of the Chathams plan their annual meeting

The Friends of the Library of the Chathams have scheduled their 2013 annual board meeting on Wednesday, January 9th at 9:30AM. The meeting will take place in the Lundt Meeting Room on the lower level.

On the agenda is the election of members to the Executive Board for five-year terms. The slate includes Tony Britt, Dot Dunn, Susan Hoag, Ken McCullough and Jane Reiss.  A short financial report will be included. The meeting is open to the public. The Board of the Friends of the Library encourages members of Friends of the Library and the general public to join us.

The Friends of the Library of The Chathams are concerned citizens from both Chatham Borough and the Township of Chatham who want to help the joint library give the very best possible service to both communities. They raise money for books, materials, services, programs and improvements which the library could not otherwise provide from municipal funds. They assist in promoting better use
of the library with projects such as art exhibits, home-reader service, storytimes, book sales and community events.
