Chatham Community Thanksgiving Service

Community-wide Interfaith Thanksgiving Service Open to All!

The Chatham Interfaith Clergy Council invites Chatham residents, ofl all faiths and traditions, to join their neighbors and friends in a community-wide Thanksgiving service on Tuesday evening, November 26, 2013 at 7:30 pm.  The one-hour service will be held at the Chatham United Methodist Church located at 460 Main Street in Chatham Borough.  Youth choruses from many of the local houses of worship will be taking part in the service.  Proceeds from the traditional offering will be donated to the Chatham Emergency Squad.  Not required but much appreciated are donations of nonperishable food items which will be donated to a nearby food bank.

"We encourage our Chatham neighbors to take just one hour out of their busy lives going into the holiday season," says Rev. Jeff Markay of the host church, "to celebrate with others the many blessings and gifts we share."  All are invited to remain after the service for fellowship over cider and pastries.

The Chatham Interfaith Clergy Council is an informal, collegial body of local clergy leaders who meet monthly and who carry a concern for the welfare of the township and borough in which their houses of worship are located.
