Chatham Community Bee Garden info meeting

Chatham Community Bee Garden

Ever think about becoming a beekeeper? Or just learning more about beekeeping and the amazing world of honeybees?  Well now is your chance to get involved and help save the bees.

In an effort to help the bees, Mayor Bruce Harris and local beekeeper Albert Tomaro of Tomaro Honey are looking for others to join them in establishing a Chatham Community Bee Garden. This group will establish a bee garden where beekeeping want-to-bees, along with established beekeepers, can have hives and promote bee education.

There will be the opportunity to become part of a community hive or to have a space allotted for your own hive. The community hive offers people who are curious about beekeeping an opportunity to have a share in a hive and get a chance to have hands on experience in tending the hive. Albert Tomaro will provide beekeeping education and guide people along on the care of the hive. Interested participants can join to be involved at any level they are wish, they can simply watch and learn, or get hands on involvement if they so desire.

Join Chatham Community Bee Garden on Feb 20th, 7:30 pm at Chatham Borough Hall for an informational meeting. Open to all Chatham Residents.
