Chatham Borough Goes for Booker, Township for Lonegan

How the Chathams voted in Wednesday's special election.

In Chatham Borough, Democratic Newark Mayor Cory Booker received more votes than Republican Steve Lonegan in Wednesday's special U.S. Senate election.

Meanwhile in Chatham Township, it was Lonegan who garnered more support at the polls.

Morris County overall went for Lonegan, where the Tea Party favorite received approximately 56 percent of the vote to Booker's 42 percent.

Statewide, Booker won the election with about 55 percent of the vote.

Chatham Borough

Steven M. Lonegan: 855 votes, 49.28%

Cory Booker: 869 votes, 50.09%

Chatham Township

Steven M. Lonegan: 1,340 votes, 56.83%

Cory Booker: 1,002 votes, 42.49%
