Why Go: Because you want to see Hillman perform such hits as “Turn Turn Turn (to Everything There Is a Season),” “Mr. Tambourine Man,” or “Eight Miles High.” Barnaby Bright will open.

Where/When: 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at in Madison.
Why Go: Because you want to learn about volunteer opportunities at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.
Pricing: Free.

Why Go: Because you’re a child care center director or staff member who wants to learn more about the profession while accumulating seven professional development hours.

Where/When: Beginning at 8 p.m. at the in Morristown on Friday, April 29.
Why Go: Because you’re a fan of “Clerks,” “Dogma,” “Mallrats” or any of Smith’s films, and you want to participate in a Q&A session with the director.
Pricing: Ranges from $42 to $89 and tickets are available online.


Where/When: At 8 a.m. at on Sunday, May 1.
Why Go: Because this March of Dimes-sponsored event will help fund research and create support programs for soon-to-be mothers.

GRAB & GO KIDS PLANNER


Where/When: At the main branch of the from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28.
Why Go: Because families can learn about how mood relates to diabetes, as well as learn a relaxation activity meant to reduce stress.
Pricing: Free


Where/When: From 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the on Thursday, April 28.
Why Go: Because children of all ages can stop by anytime during the workshop to design a dinosaur. Two days later the museum will host Dino Day.
Pricing: $5 per child.


Where/When: From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the on Saturday, April 30.
Why Go: Because children can create a dinosaur puppet, learn from a paleontologist, make a fossil footprint rubbing, or explore a dinosaur nest.
Pricing: Free with museum admission.


Where/When: From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the on Saturday, April 30.
Why Go: Children five or older can learn about dinosaur names by playing the name game, as a part of the museum’s Dino Day.
Pricing: $3 per child.
