Fishawack is getting closer, and Chatham Patch has a list of several charities and volunteer organizations for you to look out for on Saturday. To find out if your favorite local charity or service organization is on the list, check out these Five Things You Need to Know About Fishawack:

You need to know about education: The Chatham Education Foundation, which collects donations to purchase tools that help enhance curriculum in Chatham schools, will have a booth at Fishawack.

You need to know about community pride: Look out for the Project Community Pride booth. Project Community Pride services Chatham, Florham Park and Madison with counseling and crisis intervention for children and their families.

You need to know about heart risk: The John Taylor Babbitt Foundation was named for former Chatham resident John Babbitt who died sudden cardiac arrest while playing basketball at St. Patrick parish. The foundation will have a booth at Fishawack to promote their mission of preventing sudden cardiac death through CPR/AED and defibrillator training.

You need to know about Avon: And breast cancer. Look out for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer booth at Fishawack this year.
