Two Tournament Games for Chathamites

And other essential information to get you through your Thursday.

Wondering where you can see the athletes of Chatham High School show off their indelible prowress? There are two chances waiting for you today in the Five Things You Need to Know Today column:

  1. You should know how to dress today: Don’t let that bright sunshine fool you, since the projected high for Thursday is a chilly 32 degrees, plus winds between 7 and 11 miles an hour.
  2. You should know where you can see lazy slobs get good, steady jobs: Or at least sing about them! “Guys and Dolls” will be performed tonight at Chatham High School at 6 p.m.
  3. You should know about tournament hockey: The boys varsity ice hockey team takes on Northern Highlands today at 4 p.m. at Menan Arena in the NJSIAA Tournament.
  4. You should know about tournament basketball: The girls basketball team will face Scotch Plains in a home game at 7 p.m. in the NJSIAA Tournament.
  5. You should know about your sister cities: Today is International Sister Cities Day! The Sister Cities International program provides opportunities for people to connect throughout different cultures, races and continents. The sister city of the Chathams is Esternay, France. Chatham Borough Mayor Nelson Vaughan visited Esternay in summer 2010. When was the last time you reached out to the residents of your sister city?
