Recycling, State Play and Hugging Your Cat

Chathamites should arm themselves for hot and humid weather Tuesday, with the National Weather Service predicting a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms and a high of 85 degrees. If you are looking for some ways to enjoy (or escape from) the heat, check out the Five Things You Need to Know Today:

  1. You need to know about recycling: residents can take their recycling to the Tanglewood Recycling Center on Tuesday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  2. You need to know about state play: The boys golf team, girls softball and the boys and girls lacrosse teams all play in NJSIAA tournament games on Tuesday.
  3. You need to know about World Languages: Students from go through the World Language Honor Society Induction Ceremony Tuesday at the high school auditorium at 7 p.m.
  4. You need to know about the library: The Board of Trustees meets at 7:30 p.m. at the .
  5. You need to know about brothers: Wedged between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day is Brother’s Day, celebrated on May 24. Or if your family prefers felines to siblings, May 24 is also Hug Your Cat Day.
