Pajamas to Work? Maybe Not

And other essential information for Monday, April 18.

The Library of the Chathams is here to feed your need for classic Hollywood movies today. Want to find out more? Check out the Five Things You Need to Know Today column:

  1. You need to know about taxes: They are due today! The Post Office in Green Village is open from 8:15 a.m. t o 4:30 p.m. today, and the one in Chatham is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  2. You need to know about religion: Monday is the first day of Passover and the second day of Holy Week.
  3. You need to know about Marlon Brando and Vivian Leigh: And Tennessee Williams. “A Streetcar Named Desire” is being screened at the Library of the Chathams at 1 p.m.
  4. You need to know about German exchange students: There is a dinner for the students and their host families in the café at Chatham High School Monday night at 6:30 p.m.
  5. You need to know about pajamas: April 18 is National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we recommend it. It is also National Stress Awareness Day, which has many more fun ways to observe. It’s a great chance to find something small and simple that you can do to relieve your stress during the day. Mladen Golubic, a physician in the Cleveland Clinic's Center for Integrative Medicine, told NPR that just focusing on your breathing can help relieve stress.
