Update: NJ Transit Restores 4:43 Train From Penn Station

The train had originally been canceled.

UPDATE: 4:09 p.m. New Jersey Transit has restored its 4:43 p.m. train on the Morris & Essex line—the line that serves Chatham.

Train 6343 from Penn Station was restored this afternoon. It was originally cancelled due to heat-related equipment failure.

New Jersey Transit had issued an alert advising rail customers to expect delays and cancellations during the morning commute because of extreme heat.
