Think you missed anything in the Chathams this week?

Local officials were busy this week filing for various posts and completing their current duties. But Chathamites had lots of other things to keep them busy this week, so in case you missed anything, here is the Week In Review:

The for those wishing to run for public office passed Monday with several people throwing their hats into the ring. Chatham Township will have a contested primary with ; Council Member Bruce Harris will run for Borough Mayor against incumbent Nelson Vaughan, while Marcy Wecker, Gerald Helfrich and Jim Lonergan will run for two available seats on the council. Township Mayorfor a seat in the state assembly for the 27th district.

Local officialsat Chatham High Wednesday. The Rocket was purchased with a $25,000 grant through Sustainable Jersey that was awarded to the Chatham Township Environmental Commission in 2010.

The Board of Education announced that they have for the role of interim superintendent. The passed the municipal budget at a 0 percent increase and tabled a resolution to enter into an interlocal agreement with other nearby towns for animal control services.
