How did your favorite Chatham High School sports teams do on Monday and Tuesday?

On Monday:

  • The girls soccer team tied Parsippany 1-1 in . Goal from Kate Murphy on an assist from Emily Hoffman.
  • The volleyball team was defeated by Hackettstown 2-1 (25-22 Chatham, 25-19 Hackettstown, 25-19 Hackettstown.)
  • The boys soccer team defeated Parsippany 2-0 in Parsippany.

On Tuesday:

  • The girls tennis team was defeated by Governor Livingston 4-1 in Chatham.

The following games are scheduled for Wednesday:

  • Field hockey competes in the Morris County Tournament against West Morris Central High (postponed to Thursday)
  • Girls soccer plays against Madison High at 4 p.m. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
  • Girls JV soccer plays against Madison High on Haas Field at 4 p.m.
  • Girls tennis plays against Kent Place at 4 p.m. at (postponed to OCt. 26)
  • Girls JV tennis plays against Kent Place at 4 p.m. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m. (postponed to OCt. 21)
  • Girls volleyball travels to Dover for a 4 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
  • Boys JV soccer plays against Madison High at 5:30 p.m. Transport leaves at 4:30 p.m. (postponed to Thursday)
  • Girls JV volleyball travels to Dover for a 5:30 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 2:50 p.m.
  • Boys soccer travels to Madison High for a 7 p.m. game. Transport leaves at 5:50 p.m. (postponed to Thursday)

The marching band competed at the USSBA Yamaha Cup at MetLife Stadium on Saturday in Group 3 Open. This competition featured the top Group 3 Open bands in NJ. The marching band placed 5th out of 8 bands with a score of 81.538. All the students are to be commended on an excellent performance
and representing our community in fine fashion!

Guest speaker Jack Renkens will speak on "The Realities of College Athletic Recruiting" on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Chatham High auditorium.

The booster club meets on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Chatham High media center.

Girls and boys swim teams are holding a meeting Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. in the Chatham High cafeteria. All interested in joining the team should attend.

Ever dream of being a football coach for a day? At the Chatham Athletic Foundation Fundraiser Matt and Marni Baum won this chance at auction. Matt and his three sons, William, Pierson and Matthew, had the opportunity to attend a Chatham High School practice, pre-game Pasta Party, locker room meeting and be on the sidelines for the game Saturday Oct. 15. Chatham beat Parsippany 23-0. Come out and support the team next saturday Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. when they face Newton and recognize the senior players.
