Library, Rotary and Borough Traffic

And other essential information for Tuesday, July 26

The National Weather Service predicts highs of 90 degrees Tuesday, with sun and a light breeze. If you are wondering what's happening near you today, check out the Five Things You Need to Know Today:

  1. You need to know about recycling: Township residents can take their recycling to the Tanglewood Lane recycling and compost facility between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.
  2. You need to know about Rotary: The Rotary Club meets at the Library of the Chathams at 6 p.m.
  3. You need to know about traffic: The Traffic Safety Committee meets at the Chatham Borough Municipal Building at 6:30 p.m.
  4. You need to know about library business: The Library Board meets at the Library of the Chathams at 7:30 p.m.
  5. You need to know about Cuba: In July 26, 1953, Fidel Castro led an attack on a military barracks in Santiago de Cuba. The attack failed and Castro was imprisoned with a few of his associates. Castro and other exiles eventually formed theMovimiento 26 de Julio in Mexico and returned to Cuba, where, after three years of guerilla war, they eventually overthrew the Batista administration in January 1959.
