JCP&L Replaces Two Hillside Avenue Poles

Residents of northern Hillside Avenue have been without power since Sunday.

Eight JCP&L installed two utility poles on northern Hillside Avenue in Chatham Borough Wednesday afternoon.

Two three-man crews, an apprentice and a foreman replaced two poles, including one which completely toppled over into the street and taken out power on the street.

Neighbors converged at the curb to watch as two new poles went up in an effort to restore power to the neighborhood. Kids played in yards, driveways and the street while their parents watched and waited for the power to come back on.
