Golf, Softball Move On to Tournaments

And other essential information for Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

After a four-day weekend, Chatham students are back in school on Tuesday just in time to watch two Cougar teams battle it out for glory. For more information, check out the Five Things You Need to Know Today:

  1. You need to know about recycling: Township residents can take their recycling to the Tanglewood Recycling Center between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.
  2. You need to know about: Graham Clarke brings his Music Experience to the at 10:45 a.m.
  3. You need to know about girls golf: The girls golf team plays in the league championship at 1 p.m. at the Essex Fells Country Club.
  4. You need to know about softball: The girls softball team plays in the NJSIAA Tournament at 4 p.m. against South Plainfield.
  5. You need to know about tobacco: May 31 is World No-Tobacco Day, but in borough parks and fields, every day is No Tobacco Day since the council passed an ordinance in November making all recreational areas smoke-free.
