Computers and Webmasters Take the Cake

And other essential information for Wednesday, July 6, 2011.

Wednesday could run the gamut weather-wise, according to the National Weather Service. Highs of 91 degrees during the day and thunderstorms during the evening are predicted, so prepare for both eventualities. But that's not all, there are a whole Five (other) Things You Need to Know Today:

  1. You need to know about recycling: Borough residents can put their recycling out without sorting this morning.
  2. You need to know about public computers: The computers at the Library of the Chathams will be unavailable Wednesday, and possibly Thursday as well. But the library still has plenty of events for families Wednesday, including Legopalooza at 2:30 p.m. and PJ Story Time at 6:45 p.m.
  3. You need to know about lifting weights: The weight room at Chatham High School is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, thanks to the Chatham Athletic Boosters.
  4. You need to know about meetings: The borough’s Planning Board meeting was canceled Wednesday, but the Traffic Safety Committee and Green Initiatives Committee meet at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
  5. You need to know about webmasters: We have all had those moments where our internal networks at the office or the internet on our work computers stops, well, working. In moments like those, webmasters come in and save the day. Heck, they ought to wear capes. So today, on Take Your Webmaster to Lunch Day, why not take the opportunity to express your thanks?
