Chathams Redistricted, Still Separated

Think you missed anything in the Chathams this week?

The new legislative districts in New Jersey were announced this week, with Chatham Borough assigned to the Union County-dominated 21st district and Chatham Township sent to the 27th district, which includes many Essex County municipalities. This redistricting means complicates the candidacy of Superintendent Jim O’Neill, who previously announced  that he intended to run for a seat in the legislature.

Chatham Borough their new website last weekend, nearly a year after the process of improving the site began. The borough also asks that residents from both Chathams submit entries for their poster contest to raise public awareness about the ordinance prohibiting smoking in public parks and recreation areas.
