An other essential information to get you through your Thursday.

The League of Women Voters organized a candidate's forum Thursday night at Chatham High School where residents of the Chathams will have a chance to ask questions of the candidates. To find out more, check out the Five Things You Need to Know Today:

  1. You need to know how to dance: And kids can learn by going to Miss Carol’s Dance party at the Library of the Chathams. The session for kids 3 and under begins at 10 a.m., for kids 4 and under begins at 10:45 a.m., and for kids 6 and under begins at 1:30 p.m.
  2. You need to know about going green: The Green Initiatives Committee meets tonight in the Chatham Borough Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m.
  3. You need to know adjustments: The Board of Adjustments meets Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building.
  4. You need to know how to meet the candidates: Residents with questions for the Board of Education can ask them tonight at Chatham High School in the media center at 7:30 p.m. for Meet the Candidates Night.
  5. You need to know about savings: In today’s weird holiday, April 21 is Teach Your Children to Save Day. The American Bankers Association sponsors the holiday as a way to encourage all people the importance of saving money and the role that banks and bankers play. In other weird or wacky holidays, today is also Kindergarten Day, National Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day, High Five Day and Holy Thursday.
