On April 3, 2014 the Chatham Historical Society held a long overdue fundraiser, "Roadshow Evening of Appraisals". It was a big success due in large part to the Chatham community I call home.
Three individuals in particular led this effort and guided numerous volunteers insuring the event's success. Ann Rea, Marianne Slamm, Carole Bellidora Westfall devoted a considerable amount of time, expertise and energy to produce an evening to remember. We also must thank John Nye of Nye and Company for donating his time and two of his co-workers. Chatham Historical Board members, committee members, friends and family helped, too.

Support from Chatham and area businesses - in the form of advertising and silent auction gifts - was also critical to our fundraising success. Many of these merchants reside in Chatham's Historic District.

The Chatham Historical Society, founded in 1923, is always striving to come up with ways to share the history of Chatham with the town. In order to do that, archival supplies and museum quality storage cabinets are needed for the storage of the photographs, documents, artifacts and maps. This triumph will go right to work to preserve and protect the Borough's historic roots.
I thank you for making me proud to say I live in Chatham!
