Where Can a Manning Fan Get a Bite to Eat?

A culinary road map for fans attending the Eli Manning autograph signing Monday.

As Eli Manning fans wait for the chance to see the New York Giants quarterback in Chatham Monday, they may find themselves getting hungry.

Luckily Legends Gallery, where Manning will begin signing autographs at 6:30 p.m. Monday, is located in the heart of Chatham Borough's downtown, and no shortage of restaurants, ranging from the very casual to the formal, will be open Monday both before and after Manning's appearance.

Directly across from the gallery is Arminio's Italian Corner, which offers pizza, salads and full entrees. The front area of the restaurant, where the pizza is made has a counter for quick take-out service. Table service is available in the back, and the .

Within sight of the gallery is Mitsuba, Chatham Borough's sushi restaurant, which stays open until 10 p.m. Mitsuba offers traditional and specialty sushi, but if that is not your style they also offer teriyaki, hibachi and tempura entrees.

Next door to Arminio's is Garden Rice, which offers Chinese food and has a few tables inside for dining in. Take-out is also available, and though not within sight of Legends' front door, it's so close you might not even lose your place in line if you pop in.

Across Main Street on South Passaic Avenue is another local favorite, Charley's Aunt, which offers burgers and other American-style entrees. Though the restaurant features a full bar, the atmosphere is family-friendly and accessible by foot.

The Chatham Sandwich Shop on Main Street is, as its name suggests, the local answer to any sandwich craving you may have. Their menu includes over 60 sandwiches, and full entrees or salads are also available. You'll have to go before getting your Eli Manning signature, though, since the shop closes at 7 p.m.

D'Oro Ristorante, on Main Street within one block of North Passaic Avenue, offer seating for large parties and features a fine Italian menu in a formal atmosphere. Reservations are suggested.

Should you wish to leave the crowds behind, the Chatham Mall is an easy distance by car or foot. Within the mall Cafe Villa offers pizza and Italian entrees, and Cold Stone Creamery stays open until 10 p.m.

Local favorites Cafe Beethoven, Gregorio's, The Bean Curd, Thai Passion and A Taste of Asia will be closed Monday, and Angie's Luncheonette and Farley's Place close in the mid-afternoon daily.
