Scrumptious Treats from Scrumbcious
With the Chatham Borough Farmers Market underway, this regular vendor is back.
Scrumbcious, an artisan baked goods business, is back this year for its third Chatham Borough Farmers Market.
Owner Jessica Romeo is local to Chatham and an avid supporter of local businesses. “I think [the farmers market] is a great place, it’s a good community gathering spot,” Romeo said.
Romeo started the family-run business three years ago, and it has since grown into a catering and delivery business. With a focus on local produce, Romeo tries to use as many seasonal New Jersey products in her baking as possible.

According to the company website, Scrumbcious is “committed to using locally sourced, seasonal, organic products wherever possible.”
At the Chatham Borough Farmers Market, Scrumbcious has a wide variety of baked goods. Not only does Romeo make homemade blueberry muffins and scones, berry bars and strawberry-blueberry limeade, but she also sold bear-shaped cake pops because of the recent bear sightings around Chatham and neighboring towns.

According to the website for the Chatham Borough Farmers Market, Scrumbcious will be at the market every Saturday. Still, Romeo warns, do not expect the same treats each week. “My product is seasonal and it changes from week to week. Every week is something different,” Romeo said.
