Bloomers will offer floral arrangements and event consultations.

In the historical edifice at 221 Main St., a family business is springing into bloom.

By moving to a Main Street location, Aggie said Bloomers will get "more space, more visibility, and it'll be good for growing the business." Emily said the location "makes the company a little more legitimate."

Bloomers will sell flowers and bouquets, but its primary service is floral design. Garibaldi currently provides floral arrangements for restaurants, open houses, photo shoots and special events, from Fashion Week to bar and bat mitzvahs, but she said she hopes to expand the business and "be able to offer more to brides."

The front of Bloomers will serve as a show room and meeting area, where the trio of women will set up mock table settings for their clients. From rentals to linens, Emily said the new storefront will allow Bloomers to "consult more on all aspects of the event day."

"You name it, we'll do it," Aggie said.

There will also be a shopping area that will contain vases and some seasonal items.

In the back will be a work space and, soon, a walk-in cooler for storing flowers.

Aggie, Emily and Meredith each help out with all aspects of the business, but they all said their favorite part of the work is the creativity in designing arrangements. Each has their favorite flower to work with. Meredith, for example, prefers tulips, while Emily likes peonies. Aggie prefers a more classic staple. "I always go to the rose," she said. "It may be old fashioned, [but] the color pallette is so explosive."

The three are still setting up shop in the location, which the Chatham Borough Historic Preservation Commission , and hope to hold an opening party by April 15.
