Holiday shopping event in Chatham Township drew kids, shoppers to the area.

A few hours before she sat down for her last meeting as a member of the Chatham Township Committee, Laura Ali Nonnenmacher was at the Chatham Mall for the first Chatham Township Works event.

The event was a coordinated effort to draw consumers to Chatham Township's two shopping centers aind increase the local profiles of small businesses located there. It was originally scheduled for Nov. 1, but was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

As a special treat for the event, Santa Claus made an appearance and spent some time in Hickory Square Shopping Center and the Chatham Mall, where he distributed candy canes to children at the event.

Nice idea. Hope it was a success. Maybe someone can go around and remove all of the signs now that the event was over a week ago

I used to think you were a "one trick pony" chat5, defending Nicole against the chorus of complaints from Township Citizenry. You also expend great effort to unfairly attack Laura Nonnenmacher whenever her good deeds are noted. You are a two trick pony chat5 . . . And a tad transparent in your disdain for someone else getting public praise.

Biff, the comment was a good one. Is someone responsible for the removalof the signs? Is it the townships responsibilty?
