Outdoor Arts, Crafts Showcase Coming to Chatham

Chatham Area Artisans Guild will host Fine Arts & Crafts Festival at train station.

The work of more than 100 artisans and crafters will be on display at the Chatham Train Station this month for the first Chatham Area Fine Arts & Crafts Festival.

Hosted by the Chatham Area Artisans Guild, the festival will showcase pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home decor, furniture, photography and fine art, according to an announcement for the event.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the train station, 30 Fairmount Ave.

Hands-on art projects for children and a free concert are planned. Food will be available for sale, organizers said.

The Chatham Area Artisans Guilds represents artists and artisans with full-time business in the applied arts and crafts. Members include furniture designer Bill Fagnant, artist Betty McGeehan, metal sculptor David Hill, cabinet and furniture maker Dezi Folenta, painter Joni Rose, wood sculptor Ward Dill, digital artist and textile designer Yolanda Fundora, and framemaker Nicole Francouer.
