WIT AND WISDOM
On Sunday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m. a one-man presentation of Mark Twain will be
presented at the Red Brick Schoolhouse on the corner of Southern Boulevard and
Fairmount Avenue in Chatham Township.
Selections from his autobiography, Roughing IT, and Innocents Abroad and other
works will be used. Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens) was known as a
humorist and quintessential American author. His autobiography is currently a best
seller; published complete for the first time a century after his death.
David G. Kennedy appearing in costume and wig will be the actor presenting Mark
Twain. He has been in productions both on and off Broadway as well as an
appearance on MSNBC. He has also had his own Actors Cafe Theatre in North
Jersey for 17 years.
This program is free and open to all, and is offered through the Horizons Speakers
Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National
Endowment for the Humanities
