Two-Part Art-Travel Series

The Senior Center of the Chathams will run a two-part Art-Travel Series this summer, presented by New Providence resident, Valerie Moreno.

Part one, “The Alluring Gems of Southern France", will take place on Friday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m.

In this segment Moreno takes the participants on a journey through the medieval streets of Arles and Aix, and uncovers the hidden history of Provence and Lacoste and indulges the group in the dramatic countryside of Southern France.

In part two on July 22, “The Glory and Grandeur of Northern France”, the photographic journey continues to Rouen, Mont-St-Michel, Chartres, Lyon, Strasbourg, Reims and many chateaus in the Loire Valley exploring the rich history, architectural achievements and maze of legends.

Moreno is a professional artist and a former arts educator with 30 years of fine arts teaching with the NYC Board of Education, Adult Schools, Senior Centers and other clubs and organizations. She brings to her presentation the expertise of an inspiring communicator.

Through her enthusiasm, motivation, visual aids and experience, Moreno's audience is stirred and captivated. Her extensive travel also provides inspiration for her ongoing painting in her art studio as well as for her presentations. Her programs are filled with her experiences, her photography and enlightening history.
