"Snow White Turns Sixty: Hollis Sings Trumbore"

On Sunday, October 23rd at 3:00 p.m., pianist-composer and Chatham native Dale Trumbore and soprano Gillian Hollis will perform a concert at St. Paul’s Church, 200 Main Street, Chatham, to celebrate the release of their brand-new CD, Snow White Turns Sixty: Hollis Sings Trumbore. Hollis will sing a selection of the CD’s art songs, drawn from three of Trumbore’s song cycles with texts by women poets: “Snow White Turns Sixty,” a darkly comical and decidedly grown-up look at fairy tales; “Sara Teasdale Songs,” tracing the course of a relationship over time; and “This Thirst in the Lungs,” with text by Maplewood writer Robin Myers. A reception will follow the concert. A freewill offering of $5.00 will benefit the St. Paul’s organ restoration fund.
