Library of the Chathams Collecting Used Books

This year's collection for the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale has begun! Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 13, adult and children's hardcover and paperback books, DVDs, CDs, video and audio tapes in good condition can be dropped off in the back hall of the library. The collection will continue during January and February ending on Saturday, Feb. 27.  Please no magazines, textbooks, condensed books, encyclopedias or mildewed books.  We can not sell these and will have to throw them away.

For those who want to plan ahead, the dates and times of the book sale follow. New this year: on Saturday, March 13 pay $20 fee to enter between 8 and 9am.  Sale opens free to the anyone starting at 10am and ending at 4pm. The "bag sale" days are Sunday, March 14, from 1 to 4pm and Monday and Tuesday, March 15 and 16 from 9:30am to 8pm.  Proceeds from the sales are used to purchase new books and specialty materials for the library's collection.

We are looking forward to another successful book sale and year with the help of our members and the public.
