End of Year Ice Cream Social and Concert at The Sanctuary

Our 2010/2011 season was a joy, including unforgettable sold-out performances by Joan Osborne, David Bromberg, The Roches, Cherish The Ladies, Graham Parker/Garland Jeffreys, Aztec Two-Step's 40th Anniversary Concert, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and so many more. So, it's time to celebrate and to thank our loyal audience!

The evening begins at 8 p.m. with an over-the-top Ice-Cream Social, featuring a buffet of ice cream flavors and fun toppings and is included in the $10 admission price. During the ice-cream social, we will hold our very popular One Dollar CD Sale, at which hundreds of CDs will be sold for $1 each. We encourage you to bring your own CDs to trade.

Then, at 9 p.m., we are proud to host The Burns Sisters Like Sanctuary favorites The Roches, the three Burns sisters (the seventh, eighth, and ninth of twelve children) are known for their unique sisterly harmonies and quirky songwriting.

Sisters Annie, Marie and Jeannie Burns combine acoustic folk with Celtic and gospel influences, delivered with a heartfelt spirit and consummate musicianship. They first came to wide notice for their contribution to the soundtrack of the 1979 film "Atlantic City", after which they were signed to Columbia Records. Currently, they are touring the world with Arlo Guthrie. The Sanctuary is lucky to schedule them on one of their nights off from that tour.
