Al Stewart

The Sanctuary Concerts, the premier acoustic-music venue in suburban New Jersey, is delighted to present chart-topping songwriter Al Stewart (“Time Passages”; “The Year of the Cat”).

Long before he found worldwide fame, Al was writing some of the most quirky and compelling story-songs in Britain: An album featuring a hilarious 18-minute ode to his past romantic conquests was named 1969 Folk Album of the Year by Melody Maker Magazine. His song topics
ranged from Nostradamus to Warren G. Harding and Kurt Vonnegut. His band has included Jimmy Page and Richard Thompson, and he has the distinction of having
been replaced by John Lennon as the guitarist for the Plastic Ono Band. Onstage, he has a several lifetimes of stories to tell, and he does so with charm.

As always, refreshments are included in the price of admission and there is plenty of free parking.
