Chatham Native to Star in Off-Broadway Play

Deborah Rush will work with Ethan Coen in his new play 'Women Or Nothing.'

Chatham residents can soon see a familiar face under the bright lights of Broadway.

Deborah Rush, who was born in Chatham in 1954, was selected by Ethan Coen to star in his first full-length play on Broadway, "Women Or Nothing" at the Atlantic Theater Company, according to Yahoo! News and the Associated Press.

The play about two women desperate to have a child is set to open on August 28.

Rush's previous Broadway credits include "Noises Off" and Noel Coward's "Hay Fever." Film credits include "Julie and Julia," 'Half Nelson" and "The Good Girl." She can now be seen on the Netflix series "Orange is the New Black."

Ethan Coen is best known for his film work with his brother Joel. Their films include "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", "Fargo" and "No Country for Old Men."
