Chatham High Senior Recognized for Musical Talents

Bennett Wildauer was one of five selected as Mayo Performing Arts Center's February Students of the Month.

Chatham High senior Bennett Wildauer is one of five guitarists honored as Mayo Performing Arts Center's February Students of the Month.

Wildauer was nominated by Dr. Barbara Klemp:

Throughout his four years at Chatham High School, Bennet has been a dedicated member of the Band program as a member of the trumpet section. He has played guitar in the Jazz Band and most recently accompanied the advanced mixed a cappella choir, Select Choir, during their holiday program. Bennet has a particular interest in classical and jazz guitar. A motivated learner who displays outstanding work habits, Bennett’s skills and rehearsal habits are an inspiration to his peers. He consistently brings his love for music and unique spirit to his playing.

Wildauer along with Ryan Dicksen, a Mountain Lakes High junior, Joe Juliano, a Randolph High junior, Joshua Lustig, a Parsippany High junior, and Analisa Rotella, a Morris Knolls senior, were honored Feb. 1 prior to a performance of Guitar Passions featuring Sharon Isbin, Stanley Jordan and Romero Lubambo.

Each of the students received a certificate from the Provident Bank Foundation to recognize their achievements. The students were nominated by their teachers and were selected by the theater's education department "based on their commitment to and excellence in the performing arts."
