What's Open This Memorial Day
For those who are still in town, a look at ways to spend your Memorial Day.
Happy Memorial Day! If you're staying in the Chathams this weekend, here's what you need to know to get by.
First, the pools are open! So if the sun should come out for two or three minutes, you know where to go.
Most businesses will be open Monday for Memorial Day, but hours may be limited.

The Library of the Chathams will be closed Sunday and Monday.
Local Memorial Day observances include the ceremony at 8 a.m. at Memorial Park in Chatham Borough, and Madison's Memorial Day Parade at 9:30 a.m. along Main Street in Madison.

Here's what else you can expect Monday:
- State and local government offices and courts will be closed, including the Chatham Borough Municipal Building and Chatham Township Municipal Building.
- Post offices will be closed; there will be no regular mail delivery.
- Banks have the option to close.
- Financial and stock markets will be closed Monday.
- NJ Transit trains will run on an major holiday/weekend schedule, but with extra trains for the holiday.
- Bus schedules will vary by route and some routes may be affected.
- PATH trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
