Chatham Fourth of July Parade Set for Wednesday

The Chatham Borough Fire Department will host the 58th annual Independence Day Celebration Wednesday, come rain or shine.

The Independence Day Parade begins at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Hillside Avenue. From there the parade will travel west to , following the .

Motorists should expectclosures along Main Street from 10 a.m. to noon.

Fireworks will begin after sunset, which will be at 8:31 p.m. Wednesday. Gates will open for the fireworks display at 7 p.m., with entertainment beginning at 7:30 p.m. 

In case of rain, the fireworks display will take place Thursday, July 5.

The National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny weather with a high near 89 this Independence Day, with some clouds and a low around 68 Wednesday evening.
