Plenty of fun in and around the Chathams this weekend.

The weather has chilled only slightly, and there are still plenty of outdoor activities for you and your family! But if you really miss the heat of summer, we have a few indoor events, too.

Atrium Gallery Fall/Winter Exhibit Opening Reception

Magnificent Moths
 When/Where: 6:30 p.m. Friday, The Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center, 247 Southern Blvd, Chatham
Why go: Because there’s a whole butterfly world out there you don’t even know about yet.

Royal Drummers and Dancers of Burundi

Why Go: You want to tap your toes to the rhythms of what is considered one of the best percussion groups in the world.

Plein Aire Painting

Why go: Bring your easel and paints and enjoy a day of painting with your fellow local artists at Chatham's Reasoner Park

Speedwell Avenue and Beyond Town Cleanup
When/Where: Saturday, 9 a.m. from the Morristown Firehouse, Speedwell Avenue
Why Go: You love Morristown and you love keeping it squeaky clean! And, be sure to head to the recycling center afterward for its rededication!

Fungus Fest 2012
When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morris Township
Why Go: You love mushrooms and all the mysteries therein!
Cost: Free with suggested donations of $1 to $2

Tower Choir Car Wash
When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. at The Parish House at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, South Street
Why Go: You want to get your car squeaky clean while supporting the Presbyterian Church in Morristown Middle School Choir.
Cost: Free will donation

Blessing of the Animals
When/Where: 1 p.m. Saturday, Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church, Main St & Elmwood Ave, Chatham
Why go: Because pets need a little blessing, too.
Cost: Free.

Pedal for a Cure
When/Where: 8 a.m. Sunday, 484 Southern Blvd, Chatham
Why go: Because raising money for the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center is a highly selfless motivation for taking a spinning class.
Cost: $50

Morristown Farmers Market

Why Go: You like to eat fresh.

Annual Blessing of the Animals
